Developed with restaurant owner and Master Chef, Matt Prentice, this 2,000 square foot lunch and dinner spot, was designed with an urban sensibility that mirrors its Woodward Avenue address. Project materials include stainless steel, stained concrete and exposed building systems.  Design concepts include strong references to historic Paradise Valley, the nearby African American entertainment district razed by expressways in the 1960s. Multilayered murals created by local artist Aaron IbnPori Pitts, capture the rich musical tradition of Detroit’s Orchestra Hall: from its jazz roots as the Paradise Theater, to its current position as the home of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.
