Ferndale to unveil big upgrade to its smallest park downtown

Construction is nearly finished at Schiffer Park in downtown Ferndale at West Nine Mile and Planavon. The size of the park was expanded 40 percent, and trees, planters with bench seating, landscaping and even a dog friendly water fountain are among the new amenities there.
