HAA is the largest African-American owned design firm in the State of Michigan and has participated in many creative planning, design and construction projects for municipalities both regionally and nationally. Our projects are successful when our clients are successful. The success of these projects is based on our firm’s strength — our staff.
HAA is made up of talented, creative, self-motivated, and adventurous professionals. While many of our team were raised in the Detroit area, many come from other places just to be here with us. In fact, we are proud of the fact that our team is comprised of more women than men, reflecting the communities we serve. This is uncommon in most design offices and we embrace this gender make-up.
Our people believe that good design can be achieved at all levels: from the large scale of a site in our neighborhoods to the smallest nook in your workspace to the architecture that unites these two extremes.
