HAA created a new state-of-the-art facility and classroom building to foster advanced, interactive learning and the open, collaborative exchange of ideas."

To support these goals, the program includes flexible “learn-lab” instructional spaces, break-out areas, open faculty offices and graduate assistant centers positioned to maximize student and instructor interaction. The project relocates and consolidates departments from the College of Arts of Letters, reinforcing critical program relationships and encouraging cross-disciplinary interaction. Site work for the building enhances the idea of integration and transparency with highly visible roof gardens and entry plazas connecting seamlessly to the building’s interior. Wells Hall is designed to meet LEED standards for energy efficiency.
