Its construction is part of the city’s decade-long effort to develop the riverfront into an upscale, verdant, urban neighborhood, and with both affordable and market rate options available, units are accessible to a diverse range of both current and future Detroit residents. The mixed-use community is composed of 20 buildings consisting of both one- and two-bedroom apartments and townhomes – all of which are sustainably built to Enterprise Green Community standards and are Energy Star for Homes certified.
The goal of Orleans Landing is to establish a new, active, mixed-used development as an attractive address for urban living in the East Riverfront district. The project creates a vibrant community in a popular Detroit destination, with the intention of serving as a catalyst for future development by taking the risk to prove the safety and viability of the area in the hopes that similar developments will follow.
